2024 Sami-Odi ‘Hoffmann Dallwitz’ (Syrah)
A composition of our purist, most individual and prized casks from the delightful 2024 growing season.
Laced together from the two oldest plots within the Hoffmann families sunkissed Eben-Ezer earths; planted on their own roots in 1927 (0.58 Hectare) & the oldest vines between 1888 & 1912 (0.775 Hectare).
Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfers were completed via gravity prior to bottling.
Yields ranged between 27 & 41 hectolitres per hectare.
4975 bottles were filled.

An unvintaged assemblage composed of casks from 2025 (43%), 2024 (24%), 2023 (16%), 2022 (9%), 2020 (2%), 2019 (4%) & 2021 + 2018 + 2017 + 2016 + 2015 = (2%).

2023 Sami-Odi ‘Hoffmann Dallwitz’ Syrah
These 19 Burgundian Pièces were gently assembled and bottled amid the spring of 2024 after enduring a 75 week elevage.
Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfers were completed via gravity prior to bottling.
This is supple, soft and open for enjoyment now, though will cellar for as long as your taste desires. It adores air and will continue to unfurl over many days if kept in cool conditions.
Yields ranged between 44 & 55 hectolitres per hectare.

Sami-Odi ‘Little Wine’ #14 (Syrah)
Sourced from our five treasured plots within the Hoffmann families ‘Dallwitz’ vineyard from vines planted in 1996, 1995, 1994, 1927 & the oldest vines planted prior to 1912.
Enjoy now with decanting or cellar ’til the cows come home (there is some real stuffing and structure to this years bottling).

2023 Sami-Odi ‘Our Hill’ Syrah
Yields ranged between 8 & 31 hectolitres per hectare.
A word of note here; this wine speaks in whispers and sports a hypothetical feel of Grenache meets Pinot Noir with a Nebbiolo rinse. It is not a wine of impact, more one of mood and texture.

2022 Sami-Odi ‘Hoffmann Dallwitz’ Syrah
These 24 Burgundian Pièces were gently assembled and bottled amid the spring of 2023 after enduring a 76 week elevage. Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfers were completed via gravity prior to bottling.
Yields ranged between 35 & 51 hectolitres per hectare.
6485 bottles were filled.

Yields were a measly 7 hectolitres per hectare due to a rather epic hail storm in late October 2021.
287 bottles were filled.

2021 Sami-Odi ‘Hoffmann Dallwitz’ Syrah
These 22 Burgundian Pièces were carefully assembled and bottled amid the spring of 2022 after enduring a 78 week elevage. Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfer’s were completed via gravity prior to bottling.
This can be enjoyed now or cellared for as long as your taste desires. It adores air and will continue to unfurl over many days if kept in cool conditions.
Yields ranged between 26 & 39 hectolitres per hectare.

2021 Sami-Odi ‘Our Hill’ Syrah
Lithe and delicate, ‘OH’ is best enjoyed over the next few years and contrary to our Hoffmann wines is at its finest on the day of opening.
Yields ranged between 16 & 41 hectolitres per hectare.

2020 Sami-Odi ‘Hoffmann Dallwitz’ Syrah
Assembled from the two oldest sections within the Hoffmann families vineyard; planted on their own roots in 1927 and the oldest vines between 1888 & 1912 with welcome smidgens from the neighbouring blocks planted in 1994, 1995 & 1996.
These 18 Burgundian Pièces were carefully assembled and bottled amidst the spring of 2021 after enduring their 82 week elevage. Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfer’s were completed via gravity prior to bottling.
Yields were tiny, ranging between 9 & 17 hectolitres per hectare.
4971 bottles were filled.

2020 Sami-Odi ‘Our Hill’ (Syrah)
We lovingly harvested our first crop (4 x 228lt barrels) in March 2020 and bottled our favourite 3 barrels in October 2021.
The yield was 25 hectolitres per hectare.
815 bottles were filled.

2019 Sami-Odi ‘Hoffmann Dallwitz’ Syrah
Laced together from the two oldest sections within the Hoffmann families vineyard, planted on their own roots in 1927 (0.31 Hectare) & the oldest vines between 1888 & 1912 (0.775 Hectare) with a thimble from the neighbouring Eric’s Corner planted in 1996 (0.39 Hectare).
These 19 Burgundian Pièces were carefully assembled and bottled amidst the spring of 2020 after enduring their 81 week elevage. Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfer’s were completed via gravity prior to bottling.
Yields ranged between 21 & 27 hectolitres per hectare.

Derived from the two oldest sections within the Hoffmann families ‘Dallwitz’ vineyard, planted on their own roots in 1927 (0.435 Hectare) & the oldest vines between 1888 & 1912 (0.775 Hectare).
These 23 Burgundian Pièces were carefully assembled and bottled amidst the spring of 2019 after enduring their 78 week elevage. Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfer’s were completed via gravity prior to bottling.
Yields ranged between 29 & 38 hectolitres per hectare.

These 17 Burgundian Pièces were carefully assembled and bottled amidst the spring of 2017 after enduring their 81 week elevage. Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfer’s were completed via gravity prior to bottling.
Yields were 32 & 35 hectolitres per hectare

These 15 Burgundian Pièces were carefully assembled and bottled amidst the spring of 2016 after enduring their 79 week elevage. Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfer’s were completed via gravity prior to bottling.

2013 Sami-Odi ‘DW-OLD’
These old plants were sown by Oscar Falland between 1888 & 1912 on land that at the time belonged to the Dallwitz family.
The 2.12 hectares are farmed solely by the Hoffmann family and have been tenderly cared for each season since they began share farming it for the Dallwitz’s in the 1920s (the Hoffmann’s later acquired it in the 1940s).
